How did Appyness happen? It started with LOLapp, and how that started was… one day I was on a zoom with a small bunch of fellow science nerds, and we were moaning about all the letter salad in the posts and other convos of the Millenials, Zoomers, Alphas and all the other names the younger generations call themselves. It was such a pain to have to pause the meeting, open new website tabs, run searches, and then wade through a ton of other meanings in business, economics, engineering, science, politics, entertainment, gaming, etc., listed for every acronym! We said the famous: “someone oughta…”, but back then there were no AI agents, no newbies coding apps, and WAY less acronym shortcuts being used! All we could think up was a text list, and as usual, no-one else stepped up, and I started collecting acronyms in a text file. Fast forward to 2026 and now I’m a rapidly expanding AI vibe coder, realizing I have a lot of embryonic apps in me waiting to come into the world, along with all kinds of other based stuff to enrich people’s lives!
